This fast-track Norwegian language course will move the needle and bring you several steps closer to mastering the Norwegian language.
Our main focus is to build practical conversation skills from the first lesson, so you can use the language independently and efficiently.
The course is designed for expats who know English already, have higher education or are generally quick to acquire new language skills (track 3).
It contains 50 hours of training and covers the entire A2 level.
You should be able to set aside 10-15 hours every week for language training and practice to follow this programme.

You are starting to cope with social situations and you can use simple everyday language and knows how to handle short social interactions. You know how to ask and answer questions about work, hobbies, and other recreational activities. In short you will start to function better out and about in everyday life.
This course guides you further in your ability to converse in Norwegian, provides you with an understanding of elementary grammar, and helps you develop learning strategies for acquiring new skills independently.
Main learning objectives
Lingu is accredited by Skills Norway (Kompetanse Norge, formerly Vox). You will get a course certificate upon completing the course, which is valid for permanent residence and citizenship applications in Norway.
Course participants need to bring the following books to the classes. You can order the books online, or you can buy them when you arrive at our language centre.
The online exercises will become available approximately two weeks before the course starts.
At the end of the course, you will be able to sit a level test. You are not required to pass the test to get the course certificate, however, if you fail, your teacher will suggest more materials and classes that you can do before continuing on the next level (A2).
